If nothing ever changed....

....there'd be no butterflies. True words!

I made this last year in a class, and really enjoyed making it.  The base white cardstock (layered onto black card) was put through the Cuttlebug in a butterfly embossing folder, and pale pink Distress ink was applied lightly to the raised areas.
There is a vellum overlay (with an oval shape cut out) - and this too was put through the Cuttlebug.
The layered flower has a cardstock and 2 vellum layers - the vellum was coloured on the back with a pink wax pencil to give subtle shading. Being the big kid I am, the best bit was curling the fronds!
Finally a button for the flower centre, and a butterfly stamped onto coloured cardstock with some glitter added.

Photographing this card proved a bit of challenge today - bright sun shining through the window causing a few shadows!

  1. Absolutely gorgeous. Your family must love receiving greeting cards from you. They are all so special and lovely. :)
