Crafting again!

How lovely to be back crafting - and thoroughly enjoyed being back at my class today at the Crafty Patch with Sheilagh and a group of crafty ladies!
Here are a few photos of one of the cards I made today - you can get all the details of what we used over at Sheilagh's blog at
Much lovely inkiness today with my favourite Distress Inks, lots of stamping and glittery pens. And isn't the big bow simply gorgeous :)

Christmas card

I'm long overdue flexing my crafty fingers! Here's a quick and easy card I have made, using pretty paper in my stash and a cute button :) The edges were coloured with chalk inks, and I added some faux stitching. Much as I love getting inky, sometimes it's nice to go back to basics!

Thank you

....for the kind messages on here :)

Glad to say I am now regaining much better use of my arm and shoulder, and have just started driving again! Very happy indeed - looking forwards to getting back to card making and classes at The Crafty Patch in Chorley very soon.

Quick card

Just a quick post - finally able to move my arm more easily and do a bit of colouring :)
This will be a thank you card when finished. The butterfly was cut out with a Marianne die, and sponged with distress inks. I used liquid pearls for embellishments.
Gosh I ache! But it's not the pain I had pre-op, so it is bearable! Will get a better photo tomorrow!

Post op

Well, barely 24 hours post op, and things are going well. Yes I ache and it's sore, but see this in a positive way - it's what I view as healing pain.  Lots of exercises and physio ahead to get my shoulder functional again, but I think I'll be working with my promarkers again before too long.:)

My brother was teasing me (as brothers do) about me missing my 'Blue Peter' hobby. One more comment and I'll mat and layer him with strong glue ;)

Time out

Not going to be around for a while - I go into hospital tomorrow to have surgery on my shoulder, and no idea how quickly it will heal and I'll get movement back again.  It has taken a 3yr battle with the NHS to get to this point - I could write a book on it!!

Hope to be back crafting/posting before too long,
