2 new cards

Sorry about the quality of the photos - had to take them on my iPhone as I still haven't found the lead for my camera to transfer photos to the p.c.

This is a quickie birthday card I made, using some free papers from a magazine:-

The backing paper, mounted on some red card, is from the 'Country Diary' series - love those poppies!
The red doily is cut out using a 'Nellie's' cutting die (cuttlebug'd) and the butterfly has been cut out using a Martha Stewart punch. Some red and white check ribbon completed the card.

This next card is one I won in a lucky dip draw on 'Create and Craft' tv channel, where Joanna Sheen ( was the guest.  The image is taken from her 'Nostalgia collection CD, artwork by Yorkshire-born artist Kevin Walsh.  I was very happy indeed to win a signed card made by her :)

I watched her make the card on the show, and it is beautifully constructed - very neat and perfectly measured.

Must try and do some more card making - life's busy, and the sunshine calls me to sit out in my garden!
